A tale of Two Unicorns

The Golden Family

Golden C10 Motors is a multigenerational passion project. Chris Golden learned everything he knows about building, restoring and selling vehicles from his father, Ed Golden. Chris built his first car with his dad, a 1967 Chevy Camaro, when he was 14-years old, and still owns it to this day. Over the past several years, Chris has taken an interest in C10/Squarebody trucks, preferably 1970s to 1980s, and has meticulously learned to shorten long-bed trucks and make them into short-bed trucks.

Chris’ daughter, Bailey Golden, age 13, has her very own 1975 GMC Squarebody truck, and has taken an interest in learning the same craft. She too, loves short-bed trucks and she and her dad are working together to achieve that goal by shortening her truck. Bailey loves all things trucks, quads and motor bikes, and you will often find her in the shop with her dad and grandpa working right alongside them.

Chris’ son, Brody Golden, age 11, loves Chevy Blazers. He already has his dream Blazer and once Bailey’s truck is finished, Chris and Brody will begin restoring his. Brody loves monster trucks, so it will be no surprise when his finished Blazer is ultimately lifted with huge tires. Brody has begun the beginning stages of learning welding by building a ramp for his remote control truck, and you can find him riding his quad during most summer days or paling around at car shows on the weekends.
